Datalogging made easy....
Data
loggers are used world-wide to monitor environmental conditions such as
temperature, humidity, shock and vibration. Their small size but high
accuracy mean they can be placed within cold stores, delivery vehicles,
pallet loads or even individual cartons or refrigerators, to carefully
record the conditions under which your products are being stored and transported.
The data captured
is downloaded to a PC for analysis, thus highlighting any areas for concern
and allowing specific corrective action to be taken where necessary.
In
the food industry, European directives indicate that any organisation
involved in the preparation, storage or transportation of food should
be able to verify that the temperatures have been maintained at the specified
levels (due diligence). Data logging can give total traceability from
the moment the food is received to the time it is delivered to the customer
or supermarket. Accurate environmental monitoring can assist companies
to ensure that cooling and ventilation systems are used to maximum advantage,
keeping energy use and costs to a minimum.
For
growers of fresh produce, data logging provides an accurate record of
temperatures experienced during the growth, preparation and transportation
of their produce.
For shippers, data
logging verifies that conditions within the transporting vehicles are
maintained within the required levels.
Dairy
companies in the Gulf are using loggers to ensure delivery truck drivers
are not leaving vehicle doors open for long periods, or switching off
refrigeration units. Fresh produce suppliers use them to monitor cold
stores are maintained at the correct temperatures, whilst hotels use them
to monitor food service points.
A model for every
application
There
is a wide choice of loggers to choose from so please contact us for details
of specific models. Some of the features available include;
Dual channel
loggers recording temperature and humidity on a single instrument.
Dual channel loggers with two temperature probes (e.g. inside and
outside air temp.)
Temperature ranges of -50 to +300ºC, humidity of 0 to 100%
RH
Loggers to record the 'Open or Closed' status of cold store doors.
Submersible models to measure temperatures inside water tanks
Loggers with LCD panels to display temperature and humidity whilst
recording
Intrinsically safe models
Loggers to record shock, vibration and light exposure.
Also available are
a number of different types of probe include surface, stab type, fast
response and armoured cable type.
User
friendly software
Loggers are programmed
using the Windows® based TinyTag Explorer software. Variables such
as the frequency of data acquisition, high and low alarm status, start
time (immediate or delayed or operator triggered), action on memory full
(overwrite or stop recording) and many others can all be set by the operator.
Every time the data is downloaded, these parameters can be changed if
required.
